| I've been involved in Computers since the early 70's when I first enrolled at ECPI (Electronic Computer Programming Institute) to learn programming. While the owner of the Institute ran off to Hawaii with one of the secretaries of the school (and all of the money we students had paid, which forced the school to close), I nonetheless had become fascinated with the world of Computer Programming. I continued my education when I could, and finally in 1988 completed my Bachelors in Computer Science at Coleman College in San Diego, California. I wound up teaching at Coleman for a few years, and in the mid 90's moved my family back to North Carolina where I was a consultant for a national consulting firm. I realized that I missed teaching, and procured a position at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC teaching CIS classes. While living in the South had its plusses, my wife and I longed to "head back out west," so I searched the Western Community Colleges, and thus found this position at Northland Pioneer. I've been here since August of 2001, and am looking forward to many productive years working with new and returning students in the field of Computer Science. |
