Information about the
Business Department

The Business Department at Northland Pioneer College

has been tailored to fit the scope of the countless

students that we have in our extended educational area.

We have worked with curriculum needs, geographical locations,

cultural differences, and overall students well-being in designing

this department.  We help students learn to function in the business world.

More importantly, we'll help you learn to "think outside the box".

Our Mission:

To enrich the quality of life for individuals and communities by providing
comprehensive, accessible, excellent, affordable, and lifelong learning opportunities.
(Revised February 2003)

Northland Pioneer College was established in 1972 to serve Navajo and Apache counties in Northern Arizona.  It is a publicly-supported community college.  Students were first enrolled at NPC in the fall semester of 1974.

The Navajo, Hopi and White Mountain Apache Indian Reservations occupy more than 40% of the total land in the College service area.

The Associate of Business Degree (ABUS), fulfills the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC-B).  The Business AGEC-B when completed, will transfer to the three public Arizona State Universities as a block, meeting all lower division general education requirements.  If the AGEC-B block is not completed at NPC, courses will be articulated by the universities on a course-by-course basis.

The Associate of Business degree requires 64 credits described in the Student Catalog.
