PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (PHT) Courses






PHT 101 • Pharmacy Technician Training 6 cr.

Prepares student for entry-level pharmacy technicial positions. Introduction to medical and pharmaceutical terminology as well as basic anatomy related to the pharmacology of medications along with pharmaceutical calculations. Provides necessary information required to pass the National Certfication Exam offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Prerequisites: Asset/Compass reading scores of 36/65 and numerican score of 34/35. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Keyboarding skills (approximately 25 w.p.m.) or co-requisite AIS 100, or instructor permission. Four lecture; eight lab.
